Poole is home of the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) and their training college is located right on the harbours edge. Enjoy a 90-minute behind the scenes tour with a volunteer tour guide.

Please note: Min age 10yrs old and suitable footwear is required. Hi vis vests will be provided. Anyone wearing open toed shoes or high heels will not be able to participate.

The RNLI college, home to our lifesaving volunteer crew and lifeguards, is also an award-winning 60-bedroom hotel, restaurant, bar and RNLI shop all fully open to guests and members of the public. Riggers restaurant and the Slipway bar, with stunning views over the harbour and the iconic twin sails bridge, offer a daily lunchtime buffet menu and a Sunday carvery.
