Itinerary
Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to Street and to Clarke’s Village for lunch and shopping before travelling the short journey to Wells and the hotel for a two night stay.Day 2 A day at leisure to enjoy the smallest city in England. You can visit the medieval Bishop’s Palace, home to the Bishops of Bath and Wells for over 800 years, Vicars’ Close, adjoining the cathedral and believed to be the only complete medieval street left in England, and, of course, the most poetic of the English Cathedrals, the outstanding Wells cathedral, with the famous 14th century Astronomical Clock.
Day 3 After breakfast, depart the hotel and travel to the city of Bath with plenty to see and time for lunch. Why not take a stroll down to Pulteney Weir and embark on a scenic hour’s cruise up the River Avon and out into the beautiful Avon Valley, or wander around the town taking in all the sights before departing at 14.00 hours to commence the homeward journey.
