Day 1 An early start for the journey north and to the heart of Scotland for a four night stay.Day 2 A visit to Dunkeld, one of the best-preserved historic towns in Scotland before a visit to Glamis Castle, which was the childhood home of The Queen Mother and has seen over 1,000 years of history.
Day 3 Today you will visit stunning Balmoral Castle and Estate, the Scottish home of the Royal Family. Discover the castle’s fascinating history, famous residents and visitors, explore the exhibitions, grounds and gardens. Covering three acres, the beautiful formal gardens feature a large kitchen garden, a range of Victorian glasshouses full of flowering pot plants and a water garden. Half a mile from Balmoral is Crathie Kirk, a place of historical interest where Queen Victoria came to worship, including the present Royal Family. You will make a visit to the church before returning to the hotel. NB; Admittance to Balmoral is subject to members of the Royal Family not being in residence.
Day 4 Travel to The Queen’s View, a stunning viewpoint overlooking Loch Tummel and surrounded by part of Tay Forest Park. You will then return to Pitlochry to explore the picture-postcard town.
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
