On this fascinating tour, you will explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ironbridge and its plentiful attractions, as well as a day out across the border and into Wales to visit Llangollen and join a wonderful horse-drawn barge cruise along the Llangollen Canal - a tranquil way to take in the scenery.

Itinerary
Day 1 - Outward Travel
Day 2 - Full Day Ironbridge
Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ironbridge and its plentiful attractions is a fascinating place to visit. Our day here will include entry to the Blists Hill Victorian Town where you can step back in time to a place where traditional life and thundering industry sat side by side. We’ll also visit the Coalport China Museum to discover the Victorian tricks behind exquisite and elaborate pieces of china and make a stop at the iconic Ironbridge that sits high above the River Severn./n
Day 3 - Excursion to Oswestry Market & Ellesmere Village
With a long history of markets in this ancient town, Oswestry Market continues attract visitors. Held every week you will find a collection of bespoke stalls selling everything from fresh cakes and bread to antiques and gifts, as well as a variety of food outlets where you can sit and enjoy the market atmosphere. We continue to the pretty village of Ellesmere, brimming with independent shops, pretty woodland walks and beautiful Georgian and half-timbered buildings./n
Day 4 - Full Day Llangollen, Horse Drawn Barge & Horseshoe Pass
Across the border and into Wales, we visit the bustling town of Llangollen. Nestled within the beautiful Dee Valley and under the watchful gaze of Dinas Bran Castle, Llangollen is a festival town with many independent shops and wonderful cafes. Known for its waterways, the River Dee runs through the centre of the town, whilst the Llangollen Canal runs alongside skirting the town and into the countryside. Whilst here we join a wonderful horse-drawn barge cruise along the canal which is a tranquil way to take in the scenery. Later in the day we take a scenic drive over the Horseshoe Pass and through the Dee Valley National Landscape before returning to the hotel./n
Day 5 - Return Travel
