Ypres on Armistice Day
Join us as we commemorate Armistice Day visiting the some of the historical battlefield sites in the area where over 250,000 British and Commonwealth soldiers fell. Our guided tour includes visits to some of the largest cemeteries including Sanctuary Wood, Tyne Cot and Langemark. After our tour there will be free time in Ypres before travelling to Menin Gate for the last post ceremony.
The Menin Gate Memorial to the missing commemorates over 54,000 soldiers who have no known grave. At 8pm each evening the last post ceremony, the traditional final salute to the fallen, is played in honour of the memory of the soldiers of the former British Empire and its allies who died in the Ypres Salient during the First World War.
After the ceremony we make our return journey home.
PLEASE NOTE: Price is per person and based on two people sharing a twin/double room. Single room supplements and upgrades are not included.
