Itinerary
Day 1 Morning departure to Dover for the crossing to Dunkirk and on to Valkenburg for a four night stay.Day 2 A visit to the Netherlands American cemetery and Memorial, the only American military cemetery in the Netherlands with a rich historical background, before continuing to a picturesque fairy tale village of Monschau on the banks of the River Rur.
Day 3 A free day to explore Valkenburg.
Day 4 An excursion to Maastricht, known as the ‘Paris of the Benelux’. Here you will enjoy a city tour by an American bus to learn the city’s history. Free time to get some lunch before travelling to Alden Biesen Castle. During a guided tour of the moated castle, you will learn the history about the Teutonic Knighthood, listen to their stories and be amazed by the castle surroundings. You will be able to take a stroll around the English Park, the French Garden and orchards.
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey. Back to top
