Not Included

  • DAY 1 UK/Chicago
  • You'll depart on your scheduled flight to Chicago today, and we'll transfer you to your hotel on arrival.
  • DAY 2 Chicago
  • Chicago is a great city, with stunning architecture, fabulous shops, world-class museums and 30 miles of shoreline along Lake Michigan. You'll see many of its highlights on your morning tour. After time to do your own thing this afternoon, there's a great night planned. We'll start with a Champagne reception at 360 Chicago observation deck, where you'll take in views of the city from 1,000 feet up. After this we'll move on to a live Chicago blues club.

  • DAY 3 Milwaukee
  • Our next base is Milwaukee. This is where the famous Miller Brewing Company was founded, and you'll learn all about the beer brewing process on our included tour. We'll also take a walk through the historic caves, a restored portion of the original brewery which started operating in 1855. A tasting, of course, will follow. You can spend the afternoon as you please. There's no doubt that motorbike enthusiasts will want to join an optional trip to the Harley-Davidson Museum.

  • DAY 4 Door County & Sturgeon Bay
  • You're going to discover Door County today, where your hotel for two nights is in Sturgeon Bay, nestled between Green Bay and Lake Michigan. If the weather is in our favour, we'll step aboard a historic former firefighting vessel and cruise either to Sherwood Point Lighthouse or through Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal. The rest of the day is yours to do as you please.
  • DAY 5 Door County
  • Today is devoted to exploration of Door County, with visits to picturesque towns such as Jacksonport, Bailly's Harbor and Egg Harbor. At Fish Creek an included fish boil dinner gives you the chance to try fish caught in Lake Michigan. It will be cooked with potatoes and onions, just as the Scandinavian settlers would have done hundreds of years ago, on an open fire. A slice of Door County cherry pie is the only way to finish your meal!
  • DAY 6 Marquette
  • Your tour continues as we drive into the state of Michigan and onwards to Marquette, a major port on Lake Superior – the world's largest freshwater lake. Our overnight hotel is located close to its shores and your room will boast wonderful lake views. There's free time to explore Marquette, where there's plenty to keep you busy. Its beaches are beautiful and downtown you'll find shops, galleries, museums and restaurants.
  • DAY 7 Mackinaw City
  • Mackinaw City is a resort located on the shores of the Straits of Mackinac. This is where you're headed today, and after checking in to your hotel you can join an included trip by ferry to Mackinac Island, on Lake Huron. In this living Victorian community, motorised vehicles are banned, but if you wish you can hop in a horse-drawn carriage and take a scenic tour. We also recommend you visit one of the fudge shops to purchase some of the island's speciality.
  • DAY 8 Detroit
  • We're heading to Michigan's largest city today, Detroit, famous as the home of Motown. Your highlight today is a visit to the Hitsville USA building, which houses the Motown Museum.
  • DAY 9 Detroit
  • Your base, Detroit, is also known as the Motor City, and today you'll learn more about this with a day of discovery at the Henry Ford Museum. Fascinating exhibits include the limousine in which President John F Kennedy was assassinated, and you've the chance to ride in a vintage Model T.
  • DAY 10 Niagara Falls
  • Today you'll experience one of Canada's most iconic natural wonders. We'll drive to Niagara and then take a cruise to see the thundering waters of the awesome Niagara Falls.
  • DAY 11 Toronto
  • Known as the 'loveliest town in Canada', a trip to Niagara-on-the-Lake is a must, and you're going here today. Located where the Niagara River meets Lake Ontario, it's also in the heart of Ontario's wine region. That means a visit to a lakeside winery and a tasting is a further highlight. On arrival at our final base, Toronto, you've an orientation tour to help you find your feet.
  • DAY 12 Toronto
  • You can spend today just as you wish in this beautiful vibrant city. Perhaps you'll choose to ascend the 1,815ft high CN Tower for spectacular views.
  • DAY 13 Toronto/UK
  • Today we'll transfer you to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
  • DAY 14 UK
  • You'll arrive back in the UK today.
