Not Included

  • DAY 1 UK/Salt Lake City
  • Depart on your scheduled flight to Utah's capital, Salt Lake City. On arrival we'll transfer you to your hotel.
  • DAY 2 Salt Lake City
  • Salt Lake City takes its name from the nearby Great Salt Lake, and was founded by members of the Mormon religion. You'll see many of its highlights on a morning tour, which takes you to Temple Square. The centrepiece of this 10-acre complex, owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is the impressive Salt Lake Temple. Spend the afternoon exploring at your own pace, or maybe you'll be tempted to join an optional excursion to the Great Salt Lake.
  • DAY 3 Capitol Reef National Park
  • A journey by road takes us next to Capitol Reef National Park. This is where you'll catch your first sighting of the area's stunning red-rock formations amongst a collection of domes and soaring monoliths. After a tour we'll drive to our hotel in Green River.
  • DAY 4 Arches & Canyonlands National Parks
  • Today you'll visit two spectacular sites, beginning with Arches National Park. The incredible red sandstone arches here have been carved by the elements over millions of years. Next you'll explore Canyonlands National Park, where a rugged landscape of countless canyons, towers and buttes have been sculpted by the Colorado River.
  • DAY 5 Monument Valley
  • Our destination today is the renowned Monument Valley – instantly recognisable as the site of many spaghetti westerns. Not a valley in the conventional sense, this wide, sometimes desolate, landscape located on the Utah/Arizona border is punctuated by rock formations jutting hundreds of feet into the air. You'll explore in great company as a Navajo Guide shows you around in a purpose-built vehicle.  Spend the afternoon at leisure in Monument Valley, where your lodge offers wonderful views. This evening, you could admire the views further on an optional sunset tour.
  • DAY 6 Lake Powell & Page
  • We're going to drive to Page today and on the way you'll see Lake Powell. Not actually a lake, this reservoir boasts placid blue waters and sandy beaches, making it a popular spot for holidaymakers and water sports enthusiasts.
  • DAY 7 Grand Canyon National Park
  • Today's the day you get to see one of the world's most famous natural wonders, Grand Canyon National Park. No matter how you view this 18-mile-wide gorge, you're sure to be impressed but for the ultimate experience, take an optional helicopter flight. Tonight we'll stay in St George.
  • DAY 8 Bryce Canyon National Park & Zion National Park
  • You've a full day of discovery ahead of you today, with visits to not one, but two national parks. First you'll discover the unique geology of Bryce Canyon National Park, where you'll see many delicate spires of rock known as hoodoos. These pillars of red rock have been carved over millions of years by nature. The park is also known for its bristlecone pine trees, which can live for up to 5,000 years. The final national park you'll visit on your tour is Utah's first, Zion. Admire sheer sandstone cliffs, deep chasms and fascinating rock formations as you follow in the footsteps of Native Americans who inhabited the area some 8,000 years ago. As you go, look for fascinating wildlife such as mule deer, coyotes and collared lizards, a huge variety of bird species and a diverse range of plants.
  • DAY 9 Las Vegas
  • Leave behind the wildernesses of Utah and head for the bright lights of Las Vegas! This man-made wonder surrounded by Nevada's desert is renowned as the entertainment capital of the world, and you'll stay here on the famous Strip. An attraction in itself, this 4.2-mile long boulevard is lined by glitzy casinos and extravagant hotels. View this dazzling city in all its neon-lit glory on an optional Las Vegas by night tour.
  • DAY 10 Las Vegas
  • Today has been left free for you to explore Vegas at your own pace. The hotels that line the Strip boast an incredible array of attractions both inside and out, from dancing fountains and gondola rides to rollercoasters and shopping malls.
  • DAY 11 Las Vegas/UK
  • Today we'll transfer you to the airport for your flight back to the UK.
  • DAY 12 UK
  • You'll arrive in the UK today.
