  • DAY 2 Kyrenia
  • Join your Local Guide on an optional tour of Kyrenia town and Bellapais. First stop is the Shipwreck Museum housed in Kyrenia Castle. Here you can view one of the oldest trade ships in the world whose remains were only discovered in the 1960s after the vessel had lain on the seabed for more than 2,000 years.

Your tour continues with visits to the Lusignan Dungeon, the Joanna L'Alema's Prison and the Neolithic Age Museum. Enjoy free time to take lunch before visiting Bellapais Monastery and the house of the expatriate novelist and poet Lawrence Durrell.

  • DAY 3 Nicosia – Divided Capital
  • Today you'll visit the capital of Cyprus on our included excursion to Nicosia, a city split in two by the 'Green Line' dividing the Turkish and the Greek Cypriot communities. Sightseeing highlights include St Sophia Cathedral and the Kyrenia Gate. Lunch is included and you may also choose to cross the border to South Cyprus.

Your tour ends with a visit to the House of the Dragoman, who acted as an interpreter between the Christian population and the Ottoman governor. This mansion is one of the most important examples of the region's urban architecture in the 18th century.

  • DAY 4 Salamis and Famagusta
  • Join our optional excursion to Famagusta and Salamis, beginning with a visit to St Barnabas Monastery and the Church of St Barnabas. From here, visit the ancient city of Salamis, before taking lunch in a local restaurant. This afternoon you'll visit the old town of Famagusta where you will see the walls that surround the city. You'll also visit St Nicholas Cathedral, the Venetian Palace and the Dungeon of Namik Kemal.
  • DAY 5 Karpas Peninsula
  • Today we'll journey to the eastern tip of the island. See the Sipahi Basilica before enjoying a traditional lunch. Next you'll explore the Apostolos Andreas Monastery and the Golden Beach, the prime nesting site for marine turtles.
