  • DAY 1 Holyhead/Dublin
  • After making your own way to Holyhead, you will travel to Dublin by ferry and transfer to the city of Galway on Ireland's beautiful west coast. Enjoy dinner at your hotel before an evening at leisure.
  • DAY 2 Killarney
  • After breakfast you'll travel to the pretty fishing village of Kinvara, where you'll find an array of quaint shops and cafés. Then, as you drive along the scenic coastal route, you'll journey through the Burren, a rocky lunar-like landscape of exposed limestone, before arriving at the awe-inspiring Cliffs of Moher. Rising from the Atlantic Ocean, these rugged cliffs stretch for around 5 miles and you can admire spectacular views of this natural wonder from a series of viewing platforms. If you'd like to see them from a different perspective, you could choose to take an optional boat trip, before visiting the state-of-the-art visitor centre to discover more about the area and its history. Next you'll make a stop in the village of Doolin, and late afternoon you'll arrive in Killarney where you'll stay for the next three nights. Dinner is included this evening.
  • DAY 3 Killarney
  • Enjoy a day at leisure and time to explore Killarney at your own pace, or join our optional excursion to the Gap of Dunloe, a narrow mountain pass formed by glacial activity. Your first stop is at Kate Kearney's Cottage, where you'll board a jaunting car – a horse-drawn carriage – and set off on a ride through the countryside. You'll also take a boat trip on Lake Leane and visit Ross Castle, a stronghold thought to have been built in the 15th century.
  • DAY 4 Ring of Kerry
  • Join your Tour Manager after breakfast for today's drive around the Ring of Kerry. This well-known tourist trail takes you through some of Ireland's most spectacular natural scenery and your tour takes in some unforgettable highlights. You'll visit Cahirsiveen, one of Europe's most westerly towns and Waterville, a little village nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and Lough Currane. Climbing 200 metres to the Coomakista Pass the views are simply magnificent, and we'll also make a stop in the pretty village of Sneem. Dinner is included this evening.
  • DAY 5 Dublin
  • You'll depart Killarney after breakfast and travel to Cahir Castle, which is located on a rocky island in the River Suir. It is one of the largest in Ireland and is well-preserved, with most of its original defensive walls, the keep and tower still standing. Enjoy free time to explore the castle at leisure, before continuing your journey to Dublin. After checking in to your hotel, your Tour Manager will take you on an orientation walk around the city, and the rest of the evening is free for you to spend at leisure.
  • DAY 6 - Dublin/Holyhead
  • Explore Dublin at your own pace this morning, before driving to the port for your ferry crossing back to Holyhead.
