  • You'll leave Havana this morning, but you'll see more when you return later on in your tour. Now we're going to fly to Guardalavaca, and you've a two-night stay in this idyllic beach resort to look forward to.
  • DAY 3 Guardalavaca

  • DAY 4 Santiago de Cuba
  • Start your day with a morning on the beach and lunch at your hotel, before we journey by road to Santiago de Cuba. Named the 'Heroic City', it was instrumental in the success of the Cuban Revolution of the 1950s. On the way we'll stop for a tour of Baconao National Park, where one highlight is Granjita Siboney, the farmhouse from which Fidel Castro launched his attack on the city. In Santiago de Cuba we'll view the tomb of Cuban hero José Marti. Later, come with us to Casa de la Trova, one of the country's best-known music venues, where you can join in the salsa dancing if you like.
  • DAY 5 Santiago de Cuba
  • Enjoy some time at leisure, before our afternoon of sightseeing begins with a relaxing lunch at a restaurant overlooking the sea. Afterwards our sightseeing tour includes a visit to Castillo del Morro, a magnificent UNESCO-listed castle.
  • DAY 6 Camaguey
  • We're heading for the city of Camaguey this morning, a journey which takes us through rural Cuba's traditional villages and farming communities.
  • DAY 7 Trinidad
  • Back on the road, this time we're heading to the cobblestone streets and pastel-coloured houses of Trinidad. En route we pass through the splendid colonial city of Sancti Spiritus.
  • DAY 8 Trinidad
  • The picturesque colonial architecture of Trinidad is the star of your morning tour. How you spend the afternoon is entirely up to you, the pristine sands of Trinidad's beaches may prove tempting.
  • DAY 9 Cienfuegos
  • Your explorations of Cuba now take you to the beautiful port of Cienfuegos, which retains a strong French influence thanks to the 19th century migrants from Louisiana. Before arrival at our hotel, we'll visit the Botanical Gardens to see a staggering array of plants.
  • DAY 10 Cienfuegos
  • You can spend today just as you please. If you head off to explore Cienfuegos at your own pace, the former Gothic mansion Palacio de Valle is highly recommended. If you would like to join an optional excursion, a bay cruise and a visit to Che Guevara's memorial at Santa Clara are two possibilities.
