With its mild climate and the stunning Jurassic Coast, Dorset is an ideal place to discover on a walk. This beautiful region is one of lush rolling hills, sparkling bays and rising and falling coastal paths. From our base in Weymouth's seafront there are miles and miles of footpaths, bridleways and walks to explore!
On the walks included in our walking pack you'll discover Portland Bill, the Jurassic Coast and Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door.

Weymouth’s main train station is just a couple of minutes’ walk from the hotel and by car and train the surrounding landscape is fantastic to explore. The Jurassic Coast is a short journey away as is the New Forest, both of which offer fantastic wildlife and landscapes with stunning golden beaches and fantastic moorland respectively.
The hotel’s restaurant and bar offer great views of the promenade and are a great place for people watching while enjoying our chef’s wide and varied menus at breakfast and for an evening meal. Portland Bill Walk - South West Coast Path - Optional
This walk heads out to the Isle of Portland where you'll take a circular walk taking in this tiny island's sights and nature.One of the main sights is the iconic red and white stripes Portland Lighthouse, right at the tip of the island and Pulpit Rock and Nicodemus Knob two unique rock formations formed from during the island's history as a quarry.
Lulworth Cove & Durdle Door - Optional
Lulworth Cove is one of the prettiest bays on the south coast, if not in Britain. This short walk takes you over a hill for the descent into the cove. The view from the top is spectacular and the blue water of the bay is often populated by boats. From there you'll travel to Durdle Door a huge natural arch that rises high out of the sea and attracts thousands of visitors each year. From there you'll return to your start point and return to Weymouth or discover more delights of the Jurassic Coast.
Highlands End to Seatown and Golden Cap - Optional
You'll walk along a portion of the gorgeous Jurassic Coast. The coast here is known for dramatic cliff faces, golden sandy beaches, rolling hills and stunning blue seas. You'll walk along undulating cliff tops and through the pretty village of Eype. You'll also travel through Golden Cap where you'll come off a cliff into a valley marked by a beautiful beach.Back to top
