Explore the beautiful Tuscan coastline, countryside and cities and discover what makes this region of Italy so popular. Tuscany is renowned as the birthplace of the Renaissance and is bursting with art and architecture. See Florence’s overwhelming beauty, discover the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and visit the Isle of Elba.

Marina di Pietrasanta is a small town on the Tuscan coastline with lots to offer. It is an elegant seaside resort with bars and restaurants along the Viale Roma. The 3 mile long beach is considered one the best in Italy and is visited by locals and tourists alike. It’s a perfect resort to soak up the sun whilst also exploring the best of Tuscany.

We’ll enjoy an excursion to the famous city of Florence, famous for its stunning architecture, with time at leisure to explore. Stroll down to the Ponte Vecchio or the ‘Old Bridge’, a medieval bridge over the River Arno. Historically this bridge was home to the butchers of the city, but in 1593 the Medici Grand Dukes replaced this with gold merchants to add prestige to the bridge. Today the bridge is still home to jewellery shops and is definitely worth a visit!

After this, we’ll spend time in Pisa, which will give us the chance to explore this incredible city, known throughout the world for its leaning tower. Elba is renowned for its clear, blue sea and beautiful beaches. The biggest island of the Tuscan Archipelago and part of the National Park, the largest marine park in Europe. The island of Elba is famous around the world for harbouring French Emperor Napoleon in 1814 during his exile. On Elba you’ll find remnants of its glorious past from the archaeological findings in its museums to the impressive fortresses and military constructions. A truly unique destination in Tuscany.

Make the most of your holiday with optional excursions to Lucca, with its Renaissance walled city, and to the Cinque Terre, a string of charming seaside villages. See your experienced coach driver for more details about the availability of these optional excursions.
