Marina di Pietrasanta is a small town on the Tuscan coastline with lots to offer. It is an elegant seaside resort with bars and restaurants along the Viale Roma. The 3 mile long beach is considered one the best in Italy and is visited by locals and tourists alike. It’s a perfect resort to soak up the sun whilst also exploring the best of Tuscany.
We’ll enjoy an excursion to the famous city of Florence, famous for its stunning architecture, with time at leisure to explore. Stroll down to the Ponte Vecchio or the ‘Old Bridge’, a medieval bridge over the River Arno. Historically this bridge was home to the butchers of the city, but in 1593 the Medici Grand Dukes replaced this with gold merchants to add prestige to the bridge. Today the bridge is still home to jewellery shops and is definitely worth a visit!
After this, we’ll spend time in Pisa, which will give us the chance to explore this incredible city, known throughout the world for its leaning tower. Elba is renowned for its clear, blue sea and beautiful beaches. The biggest island of the Tuscan Archipelago and part of the National Park, the largest marine park in Europe. The island of Elba is famous around the world for harbouring French Emperor Napoleon in 1814 during his exile. On Elba you’ll find remnants of its glorious past from the archaeological findings in its museums to the impressive fortresses and military constructions. A truly unique destination in Tuscany.

Day 1: UK to Marina di Pietrasanta
From your chosen airport, fly to Italy where you will be transferred to Marina di Pietrasanta and have time to settle into our hotel, the Hotel Riva, for our first night in this seaside destination. Enjoy a welcome drink upon arrival, and relax in the evening with wine and water with dinner as well as complimentary selected drinks in the bar between 6pm and 10pm. (Dinner)
Day 2 to 6: Marina di Pietrasanta
We’ll spend another five nights in Marina di Pietrasanta, enjoying three included excursion during our time here. Join us as we enjoy a trip to the beautiful city of Florence, as well as picturesque Pisa and the Isle of Elba. Why not also join our optional excursions to Lucca, Pistoia and the famous Cinque Terre? (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 7: Marina di Pietrasanta to UK
We’ll transfer back to the airport and then fly back to the UK. (Breakfast)

Half Day: Pistoia - Optional
Join us as we explore the wonderful city of Pistoia, found in Tuscany just a short distance from Florence. This beautiful medieval city is surrounded by its ancient city walls, and the Piazza del Duomo is a must-see. This large piazza is famous for Pistoia Cathedral, with is Romanesque architecture, and the piazza is lined with many other intriguing medieval buildings.
We’ll get to explore this charming Tuscan city at leisure during our excursion, so we can discover its many fascinating sights.
Full Day: Cinque Terre - Optional
Cinque Terre is an incredible stretch of coastline on the Italian Riviera which is known for being one of the most beautiful in this part of the world. It encompasses five villages in total - Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore.
Half Day: Lucca - Optional
Lucca is a city with a long history which goes back to Etruscan and Ancient Roman times. The city contains marvellous architecture, with Lucca’s defensive walls having been designed by Leonardo Da Vinci. The area of most interest to visitors is still enclosed within these walls, which have never been breached.
In Lucca, we’ll find lovely churches with old architecture, such as St Martin's Cathedral, San Michele in Foro and the Basilica di San Frediano, as well as an ancient Roman amphitheatre and the National Museum of Villa Guinigi.
Half Day: Pisa - Included
Pisa is famous for its leaning tower, which many assume to be the only attraction in the city. However, there’s much more available in this city, which is equally as well-known for its amazing architecture and artistic atmosphere. We’ll be able to explore the city at leisure, seeing attractions such as the Church of Santa Maria della Spina, the Campo Santo, St. Francis' church and the Palazzo della Carovana.
Full Day: Isle of Elba - Included
We enjoy a boat ride to the beautiful Isle of Elba, which is situated off the Tuscan coast. Elba is the third largest of Italy’s islands and is home to beautiful unspoilt and rugged scenery. There are also stunning beaches and a pleasant Mediterranean climate to be found on the Isle of Elba.
This beautiful island is renowned for its clear, blue sea and beautiful beaches. It’s also famous around the world for harbouring the French Emperor Napoleon in 1814 during his exile. On Elba, you’ll find remnants of its glorious past, from the archaeological findings in its museums to the impressive fortresses and military constructions. This is a truly unique destination in Tuscany.

Florence is the capital of Tuscany in Italy and is a wonderful city, with amazing architecture and a huge number of historical sights. With something for everyone, this excursion to Florence is sure to make for an enjoyable day out.
For instance, while at leisure in the city, you can choose to see such sights as the Piazza della Signoria where the Fountain of Neptune is located, as well as a replica of Michelangelo’s David statue - the original is housed within the Galleria dell'Accademia in Florence. There’s also the gothic Florence Cathedral, the Palazzo Vecchio, the Archeological Museum, the Museum of the History of Science, and many other sights.Back to top
