The diamond-shaped Isle of Wight boasts Royal connections through its association with Queen Victoria, who made Osborne House a home with her beloved Prince Albert and their nine children.

After pick up at a number of stops nationwide we travel to the Isle of Wight arriving at our hotel in Sandown for dinner.
Day 2 - 7:
Over the next six days we will explore the island through both excursions and free time. Included is a full day at the magnificent Osbourne House, built for Queen Victoria as a summer house and rural retreat, the beautiful estate with its exotic grounds and intimate Royal Rooms eventually became the Queen’s main residence in later life. We will also take you on an island tour, taking in popular spots including the Needles rock formation and the beautiful village of Godshill. The final included excursion is to the town of Ryde, with its attractive esplanade and marina, which offer great views across the Solent. The other days are free for you to enjoy at your leisure, Sandown’s Dinosaur Isle Museum gives a fascinating insight into the island’s rich fossil landscape. While further afield, the main town of Newport, the Isle of Wight steam railway and pretty Ventnor and Steephill Cove are all easily accessible by public transport.
Following breakfast at the hotel the coach will depart for home via your interchange.

Stay amid beautiful gardens, close to all the attractions Sandown and the Isle of Wight have to offer at the beautiful Broadway Park Hotel in Sandown.
The hotel is in a popular area of Sandown, not far from the seafront and the town centre. Sandown has all the fun of the seaside with its beach and pier as well as a number of bars and restaurants, but without the usual overcrowding in summer and relatively mild weather in winter. One of the town’s main highlights is the popular Dinosaur Isle exhibition, which tracks the history of fossil discovery on the Isle of Wight.
From Sandown the rest of the island is easily accessible by both car and public transport. Ryde is a short train ride away and has all the attractions you would expect from a traditional British seaside resort, with a huge number of amusements and even a funfair. For great landscapes and sea views head to the Needles and the Tennyson coast on the island’s west coast.
In the hotel enjoy open gardens, great for relaxing and enjoying the great Isle of Wight sunshine. If it gets a little too hot, take a dip in the outdoor pool, or get inside and enjoy a game of snooker or fantastic entertainment in the evenings.

Opulent, flamboyant and undoubtably impressive, a trip to Osborne House is not be missed. The former home of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert boasts gorgeous grounds and contains precious treasures - definately fit for royalty!
Half Day Ryde - Included
