This wonderful holiday combines the famous scenery along Germany’s Rhine and Moselle Valleys, with a visit to one of the region’s popular wine festivals in charming Bingen. We’ll also enjoy a boat cruise along the lovely River Moselle to take in more of the stunning views.



Staying in Rudesheim, you'll have chance to explore this popular riverside town at your leisure and enjoy the hospitality at our family-run hotel. Why not enjoy a stroll along the popular Drosselgasse pedestrianised street and sample some of the local wines or Asbach brandy.

Day 1: UK to Rudesheim

Fly from your chosen airport to Frankfurt, where you will be met and transferred to our hotel, for your five night stay. Our coach and tour driver will arrive at the hotel in time for dinner this evening. (Dinner)



Day 2: Bingen Wine Festival

This afternoon we cross by ferry and have free time in Bingen, as the town hosts its popular annual wine festival. (Breakfast, Dinner)



Day 3: Rudesheim

A day at leisure today, to spend time in popular Rudesheim. (Breakfast, Dinner)



Day 4: Rhine & Moselle Valley

Take in the scenery as we call at pretty Cochem and enjoy a Moselle cruise. (Breakfast, Dinner)



Day 5: Rudesheim

Discover Rudesheim at your leisure today, venture further afield, or join our optional trip to Heidelberg. (Breakfast, Dinner)



Day 6: Rudesheim to UK

Transfer to Frankfurt airport for your return flight home. (Breakfast)

Full Day: Heidelberg - Optional

Discover the beautiful city of Heidelberg, located on the River Neckar and overlooked by the dominating castle above.



Take a walk across the beautiful Old Bridge to look back at the famous cityscape of the castle with the river below and be sure to enjoy a stroll through the baroque style Old Town, or 'Altstadt'. Visitors choosing to go to the castle itself, will be able to see the world's largest wine barrel!

Full Day: Rhine and Moselle Valley - Included

Today we enjoy a wonderfully scenic journey exploring the beautiful Rhine and Moselle Valleys. This part of Germany is a popular holiday destination, with its lovely riverscapes, quaint towns and historic buildings.



We’ll call at the charming town of Cochem, overlooked by the majestic Reichsberg Castle and with a beautiful historic centre to explore. Then you can relax as we enjoy a leisurely cruise on the Moselle River.

Evening: Bingen Wine Festival - Included

After an early dinner at our hotel, we cross the Rhine to reach the opposite bank and the charming town of Bingen, as it hosts the popular annual wine festival, which has ran for over 60 years.



Lasting over 10 days, the Bingen vinters invite you to taste, compare and find your favourite wines. There will also be stalls selling other enticing local foods and treats as the locals celebrate.

Rhine and Lahn Valley by train - Optional

If you want to venture out today, why not take our optional trip to discover the Rhine and Lahn Valley, boarding a train service from Rudesheim to take in the beautiful scenery of this area. Sit back, relax and enjoy the passing views.



During our day out, we discover the historic town of Koblenz, set at the confluence of the Rine and Moselle rivers, and also call at pretty Limburg an der Lahn, home to impressive half-timbered buildings.
