This holiday takes us to the Isle of Wight and the popular town of Sandown, boasting an enviable position on Sandown Bay and home to a long Victorian pier. Includes return coach travel, breakfast and evening meal and, two sightseeing excursions.
PLEASE NOTE: Price is per person and based on two people sharing a twin/double room. Single room supplements and upgrades are not included.
After meeting at the interchange we will make our way to Sandown on the Isle of Wight, following check in to the Broadway Park Hotel we will enjoy an evening meal.
Day 2 to 4:
Over the next three days we will be taking two included excursions to see the best the island has to offer. We’ll take a tour of the island, taking a leisurely, scenic drive around the island. See some popular spots including pretty Yarmouth, a bustling town with a natural harbour. We’ll also go separately to Ryde with miles of glorious sands, an attractive esplanade and beautiful gardens. The other day will be for you to enjoy at your leisure. Sandown has a beautiful seafront, as well as an exhibit on the huge number of fossils that have been found on the island. There are easy rail connections from the town’s station to the Isle of Wight steam railway which has preserved part of the island’s historic railway system since 1971.
Following breakfast at the hotel we will make our way home via the interchange.

The hotel is in a popular area of Sandown, not far from the seafront and the town centre. Sandown has all the fun of the seaside with its beach and pier as well as a number of bars and restaurants, but without the usual overcrowding in summer and relatively mild weather in winter. One of the town’s main highlights is the popular Dinosaur Isle exhibition, which tracks the history of fossil discovery on the Isle of Wight.
From Sandown the rest of the island is easily accessible by both car and public transport. Ryde is a short train ride away and has all the attractions you would expect from a traditional British seaside resort, with a huge number of amusements and even a funfair. For great landscapes and sea views head to the Needles and the Tennyson coast on the island’s west coast.
In the hotel enjoy open gardens, great for relaxing and enjoying the great Isle of Wight sunshine. If it gets a little too hot, take a dip in the outdoor pool, or get inside and enjoy a game of snooker or fantastic entertainment in the evenings.
