Join us as we explore the beautiful Rhine Gorge, now a designated World Heritage Site, as well as seeing the magical Moselle Valley. This stunning area is filled with history and legend, where the castles and vineyards create a fairy-tale atmosphere.

Staying at our welcoming family-run hotel at the centre of Rudesheim, there will also be chance to explore this popular riverside town at your leisure. Enjoy a stroll down the quaint Drosselgasse pedestrianised street and why not try some of the locally produced wines, or Asbach brandy.

Day 1: UK to Rudesheim

Fly from your chosen airport to Frankfurt, where you will be met and transferred to our hotel, for your five night stay. Our coach and tour driver will arrive at the hotel in time for dinner this evening. (Dinner)

Day 2: Heidelberg

We’ll visit the beautiful city of Heidelberg for time to explore. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 3: Rudesheim

A day at leisure today, to spend time in popular Rudesheim, or you may choose to join our optional excursion by train to the Lahn Valley. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 4: Rhine & Moselle Valley

Take in the scenery as we call at pretty Cochem and enjoy a Moselle cruise. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 5: Rudesheim

Enjoy a stroll in riverside Rudesheim, or you may choose to join our optional excursion to the Whisper Valley. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 6: Rudesheim to UK

Transfer to Frankfurt airport for your return flight home. (Breakfast)

Full Day: Heidelberg - Included

Enjoy the picture-postcard townscapes as we travel today to visit the beautiful city of Heidelberg, set on the river Neckar at the point where it leaves its steep valley to join the Rhine.

Take a walk in the historic baroque style old town, or why not take the short funicular trip up to see the majestic castle, which offers great views down to the city below. Alternatively, you can cross the charming Old Bridge over the river, which gives you a wonderful view of the castle perched on the hill.

Full Day: Rhine and Moselle Valley - Included

Today we enjoy a wonderfully scenic journey exploring the beautiful Rhine and Moselle Valleys. This part of Germany is a popular holiday destination, with its lovely riverscapes, quaint towns and historic buildings.

We’ll call at the charming town of Cochem, overlooked by the majestic Reichsberg Castle and with a beautiful historic centre to explore. Then you can relax as we enjoy a leisurely cruise on the Moselle River.

Guided tour of Heidelberg - Optional

Join us for a wonderful guided tour of this magnificent destination, taking in Heidelberg’s many attractions to ensure we don’t miss a thing. Our guide will tell us more about the city's landmarks and history.

Surrounded by forest, Heidelberg is Germany’s oldest and most famous university town is renowned for its beautiful baroque old town, charming riverside setting and half-ruined hilltop castle.

Lorelei Rock, Whisper Valley and Rudesheim - Optional

On our scenic trip today we’ll see the legendary Lorelei Rock, steeped in myth and legend. Admire this famous landmark and take in the spectacular views of the Rhine as we travel along the beautiful Whisper Valley, before taking in charming Rudesheim. One of Germany’s oldest towns, Rudesheim offers plenty to discover, including the bustling Drosselgasse Street, where we’ll find an assortment of shops and boutiques. 

Rhine and Lahn Valley by train - Optional

If you want to venture out today, why not take our optional trip to discover the Rhine and Lahn Valley, boarding a train service from Rudesheim to take in the beautiful scenery of this area. Sit back, relax and enjoy the passing views.

During our day out, we discover the historic town of Koblenz, set at the confluence of the Rine and Moselle rivers, and also call at pretty Limburg an der Lahn, home to impressive half-timbered buildings.
