Friday

Today we travel by luxury coach to Exmouth. Onboard you’ll enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi and Roadshow, our onboard entertainment system. After check-in at the hotel you’ll enjoy a delicious three course evening meal. (Dinner)



Saturday and Sunday

You’ll spend the next three days in and around Exmouth. Explore independently with your included pack of walks and enjoying a packed lunch to take long with you each day! Included in your walking pack are walks from Exmouth to Orcombe Point and Woodbury Castle and discovering the East Devon Commons. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)



Monday

Time to say goodbye today, after a delicious cooked breakfast at the hotel you’ll check out and get back aboard your luxury coach for the journey home. (Breakfast)

Exmouth is situated in a beautiful part of the South West, just at the mouth of the River Exe. A number of glorious walking trails pass through the town, with the South West Coastal Path passing just over the road from the hotel. Take the path through stunning coastal scenery to the amazing village of Budleigh Salterton, in town there are a number of cafes, bars, pubs and galleries to enjoy before hopping on a local bus back to Exmouth.


Going a little further afield you can discover a number of great towns close by. Take the short trip to Exeter to learn the thousands of years’ worth of history that this city possesses or travel south along the coast to Torquay, Paignton and Teignmouth to enjoy traditional attractions and scenic beaches.


After all that outdoor exercise the hotel is a perfect place to wind down and take it easy. Relax with a drink and take in the sunset in the hotels beautiful gardens, or after enjoying a meal in the restaurant, sit in the comfortable bar and lounge area for a soothing rest before bed.

Self-guided walking pack and two packed lunches - Included

Included walking pack with three self-guided walks in the local area plus packed lunches on two days.

East Devon Commons - Optional

You'll be walking another part of the East Devon Way again today. The walk starts in Budleigh Salterton, which has a number of 16th, 17th and 18th century buildings. From there you'll head out of the village, passing Hayes Barton, birthplace of Sir Walter Raleigh. Along the way you'll discover the beauty of the rolling hills of the countryside here as wlel as the occasional coastal view along the way!

Exmouth to Orcombe Point - Optional

From our hotel this circular walk heads into the town centre, past the train station and through the town, out into the open countryside that surrounds Exmouth. From there you'll head towards the sea and reach Orcombe Point continuing along the coast past the Maer and Exmouth pavilion as you come back into town. From there it's just a short walk back to our start point at the hotel.

Exmouth to Woodbury Castle (East Devon Way) - Optional

This walk takes in the first stage of the East Devon Way. The trail starts from the town centre and then follows the River Exe for a couple of miles before turning inlanf towards Lympstone Common, past wildlife filled quarries at Black Hill, past Woodbury Common to Woodbury Castle. The Iron Age hillfort that once stood here no long exists, but the earthworks are still easy to see.
