Eastbourne provides us with the perfect base from which to explore the delights of the South Coast. Staying at the Bay Burlington Hotel, we make our way to Great Dixter, gardener Christopher Lloyd’s family home, to admire the spectacular gardens here, as well as admiring the town of Rye and visiting charming Bexhill-on-Sea.

Day 1: Home to Eastbourne

You’ll join your tour coach which features spacious legroom, with more space than many short-haul airlines, perfect for relaxing into your trip. Following arrival and check in at the hotel you will enjoy a superb three-course evening meal. (Dinner)

Day 2 to 4: Eastbourne

We’ll have a great time, with two excursions to make the most of. We’ll make our way to Great Dixter, the former family home of gardener Christopher Lloyd. Discover the wonderful gardens here before calling at hilltop Rye, and then enjoying time at leisure in popular Bexhill-on-Sea. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 5: Eastbourne to Home

Time to say goodbye today, after a delicious cooked breakfast at the hotel you’ll check out and get back aboard your luxury coach for the journey home. (Breakfast)

The South Downs National Park begins just outside of town and is easily accessible and even by walking you can easily reach Beachy Head and a little further along the coast, The Seven Sisters. Fashionable Brighton is on the other end of a scenic train ride through the park and here you can see famous sights such as the fashionable Royal Pavilion or enjoy independent shops in The Lanes area of the city.

The hotel has great spaces for relaxing after a busy day in the area, the on-site bar and coffee lounge have huge windows opening out onto the seafront, great for watching the world go by. In the restaurant you can enjoy fantastic meals at breakfast and in the evening, with great and varied menus cooked by our dedicated chefs. Full Day Great Dixter - Included

Full day excursion visiting the wonderful gardens at Great Dixter. This was the family home of Christopher Lloyd, who was devoted to creating experimental gardens. Then its on to the fortified hilltop town of Rye.

Half Day Bexhill - Included

Half day to Bexhill a town steeped in history since the Napoleonic era, where pavement cafes now align this popular seaside resort.
