Make this Christmas extra special! We’ll take all the hard work out of Christmas, leaving you to relax and enjoy yourself. For festive fun Bay Hotels are ideal, with lively entertainment and like-minded holidaymakers.
As well as return coach travel to Lynton and accommodation at the Bay of Rocks Hotel, you'll also enjoy two included excursions, cooked breakfasts and three-course evening meals daily and a festive entertainment programme. You'll enjoy special food and drink treats as well, with mulled wine on arrival, a drinks reception, leisurely brunches on Christmas and Boxing Day, afternoon tea each day and a traditional four-course festive Christmas Day lunch. To top it all off you'll also receive a gift from Father Christmas!

Days 2 to 4
Over the three full days we have in Lynton we enjoy an included excursion. We take a trip to the bustling market town of Barnstaple. The town has a great food scene with fantastic seafood, which of course is all locally sourced. The Pannier Market is another highlight in the town, set within a beautiful market hall, it is a great place to pick up a souvenir of your visit.
We’ll also travel to Dartmoor, a wild and winding National Park, where you can feel real history in landscapes that haven’t changed in hundreds and sometimes thousands of years.
The other day is free to enjoy Lynton,the beautiful town perched high on a clifftop above the village of Lynmouth has a number of good pubs, cafes and teahouses, or take the cliff railway down to Lynmouth to enjoy tasty fish and chips on the seafront.
Coastal walks are easily available from the hotel with the South West Coastal Path passing nearby and several other trails leading to nearby look out points such as Crock Point and The Valley of Rocks. (Breakfast, Dinner)

The Valley of the Rocks is located in the quaint village of Lynton with a number of independent shops to explore locally. It’s a great place to take in some stunning coastal scenery, being set in Exmoor National Park right on the South West Coast Path which takes in nearby Foreland Point and the Valley of Rocks after which the hotel is named.
The hotel is the perfect place to explore Exmoor national park, a wild landscape with a huge and varied amount of wildlife and unique dark moorland. Take a trail up to one of the park’s many hills where you can see great views over this stunning landscape and out to sea.
In the hotel you can upgrade to a standard plus or superior room, which will not only give you increased space and comfort but also great views over Lynmouth Bay. The restaurant serves sumptuous meals for breakfast and in the evening while midday meals are available in the bar area.Back to top
