  • Day 1: Arrive in Beijing


    China’s capital since 1949. On arrival, you will be met by your local guide and transferred to your hotel. (Dinner)

  • Day 2: Beijing – Great Wall of China – Beijing


    We travel to the the Mutianyu section of the iconic Great Wall of China, which spans more than 3700 miles and contains more than 2000 years of history. Enjoy amazing views of the surrounding landscape as we walk this section of the wall. If you’re up for something a bit more adrenaline pumping, ride down the wall on a toboggan. Later we visit a Jade Factory. This afternoon we travel to the Summer Palace where you can stroll through an oasis of calm among the sprawling Beijing metropolis. (Breakfast, Lunch)

  • Day 3: Beijing


    We start the day with a visit to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, where you can explore tranquil courtyards and imperial courtrooms. In the afternoon join an optional tour to the Temple of Heaven, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and afterwards enjoy a rickshaw ride through ancient alleyways. (Breakfast)

  • Day 4: Beijing to Xian


    A guide will meet you at the hotel and you’ll transfer to Beijing train station where you’ll take a fantastic high speed train to Xian. Xian is an ancient city, seen as the root of Chinese civilization. On arrival, a guide will meet you to transfer to your hotel. (Breakfast)

  • Day 5: Xian


    We begin the day with a visit to the world famous Terracotta Warriors, which were discovered just outside the city in 1974. We’ll then scale the city wall, which dates from the 7th century and gives great views over Xian. Then we will visit the Xian Art Ceramics and Lacquer Exhibition, followed by the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, at more than 1350 years old it is one of the oldest structures in China. In the evening, we explore the rich history of the city and enjoy a delicious banquet of freshly made dumplings, at the Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

  • Day 6: Xian to Yangtze


    Fly to Wuhan, where you will get the Bullet Train First Class to Yichang. On arrival you’ll meet a tour guide who will accompany you to the port to embark on a four night Victoria Cruise along the enchanting Yangtze River. (Breakfast)

  • Day 7: Yangtze cruise


    This morning we take a tour of the colossal Three Gorges Dam. We’ll sail through the dam’s locks and on our optional tour, you can learn about the life of the Tribe of The Three Gorges. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

  • Day 8: Yangtze cruise


    Today you can enjoy a shore excursion down the Goddess Stream, surrounded by high peaks and green foliage. We travel through two of the three gorges which give this area its name today. First, Wu Gorge which winds its way over 25 miles past amazing rock formations and vast canyons, then through Qutang Gorge, which slithers between mountains towering high above. Join our optional shore excursion to White Emperor City. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

  • Day 9: Yangtze cruise


    Today we have a shore excursion to Shibaozhai; a pagoda on top of a cliff was built here in 1750 and in the years since a huge pagoda has been built into the cliff-face, connecting to the one atop the hill. There’s an optional excursion today to the ghost city of Fengdu. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

  • Day 10: Disembark in Chongqing to Guilin


    A guide will meet you at the port, from where we visit Chongqing zoo, famous for its Panda house. The Panda House covers an area of about 2 hectares; here you will see the precious and childlike giant panda as well as other rare animals such as golden monkeys and South China tigers. We’ll then transfer to the airport for the flight to Guilin where you’ll transfer to your hotel. (Breakfast)

  • Day 11: Guilin to Yangshuo


    We take a relaxing cruise along the Li River towards Yangshuo through majestic scenery. On arrival, we’ll take a bicycle tour passing rice paddies, water buffalo and small villages to get a glimpse of local life before heading back to our hotel. (Breakfast, Lunch)

  • Day 12: Yangshuo – Guilin – Shanghai


    En route to Guilin we visit the huge Reed Flute Cave and its impressive grotto. Later to the South China Pearl Museum. We then arrive at the airport for the flight to Shanghai. On arrival, a tour guide will accompany you to your hotel. (Breakfast)




  • Day 13: Shanghai


    A guide will meet you at the hotel to explore the old town area, including the tranquil Yuyuan Garden. We’ll visit the famous Bund area where we can admire magnificent colonial architecture and visit a silk factory where you’ll be able to sample the wares. (Breakfast)




  • Day 14: Depart Shanghai


    Transfer to the airport for your flight home. (Breakfast)
