Uncover the seafaring history of South Devon with a visit to historic Buckland Abbey as well as Plymouth’s historic harbour, the Barbican. We’ll also enjoy a trip to splendid Bicton Park Gardens and have free time to relax in the seaside town of Exmouth.

You’ll join your tour coach which features spacious legroom, with more space than many short-haul airlines, perfect for relaxing into your trip to Exmouth. Following arrival and check-in at the Imperial Hotel you'll enjoy a superb three-course evening meal. (Dinner)
Days 2 to 4:
We spend the next three days in Exmouth enjoying two included excursions. We visit Bicton Park Gardens, the huge gardens are stunning with great views over the Otter Valley and towards the English Channel.
We also visit the Barbican in Plymouth where you can relax with a dockside drink or bite to eat. On the same excursion we will visit Buckland Abbey National Trust property, with the opportunity to explore history of this place and learn of its long affiliation with the sea.
The other day is for you to enjoy at your leisure. Exmouth is a fantastic town to walk around and a coastal path stretches to the nearby village of Budleigh Salterton. The historic city of Exeter is half an hour away via a scenic rail journey. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Time to say goodbye today, after a delicious cooked breakfast at the hotel you’ll check out and board your luxury coach for the journey home. (Breakfast)

If you want to see a beautiful piece of coast, pick up the South West Coast Path which will take you into the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty to the magnificent village of Budleigh Salterton.
The hotel is less than 10 minutes’ walk from the train station, where you can take a train to the city of Exeter, which has thousands of years of history. Or travel south along the coast to a number of fabulous resorts including Torquay, Paignton and Dartmouth.

Full day excursion visiting Plymouth's historic waterfront area of the Barbican. The original harbour of maritime Plymouth, the Barbican is full of narrow, cobbled streets and contains 100 listed buildings. Later in the day we visit tranquil Buckland Abbey where tales of seafaring adventures tell the fate of England.Back to top
