Day 1: Embark in Cologne, cruise to Antwerp
We join the MS A-ROSA SILVA in Cologne and commence our overnight cruise to Antwerp. (Dinner)
Day 2: Antwerp
A day sailing brings us to Antwerp. This lively port city is known as the world capital of diamonds and boasts a rich cultural past. It is a delight for art lovers and was the home of the famous artist Rubens, whose many works and influence can be found throughout the city including the Rubenshuis and impressive cathedral. The Grote Markt is seen as the historic heart of Antwerp, surrounded by finely restored guide houses and lined with an assortment of restaurants and bars where you can sample one of the many renowned Belgian beers or local jenever. We moor overnight in Antwerp. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 3: Christmas Eve - Antwerp to Amsterdam
A morning at leisure in Antwerp to explore further. We depart Antwerp late afternoon and sail overnight to Amsterdam. Enjoy a Christmas Eve gala buffet dinner followed by festive Christmas music in the lounge. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 4: Christmas Day - Amsterdam to Dusseldorf
Arrival in Amsterdam early morning where we celebrate Christmas Day. Leaving Amsterdam later this evening we enjoy a gala buffet and Christmas entertainment. We continue our cruise sailing overnight to Dusseldorf. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 5: Boxing Day - Dusseldorf to Cologne
During mid afternoon on Boxing Day we arrive at Dusseldorf, often referred to as ‘Little Paris’. We head to the Old Town, almost completely destroyed during World War II, but painstakingly rebuilt. During our tour we see the Gothic St. Lambertus church with its twisted tower and the Rider statue of popular elector Jan Wellem, where Heinrich Heine was born. We continue to the Burgplatz with the Palace Tower. Take a stroll along the Rhine promenade which offers stunning views of the city skyline. Spend an evening in the Old Town which boasts more than 260 bars, restaurants, cafes and breweries. Before midnight we say goodbye to Dusseldorf and cruise overnight to Cologne (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 6: Disembark in Cologne
We arrive in Cologne early morning where we disembark and travel home. (Breakfast)
Antwerp Guided Walking Tour - Optional
Enjoy a guided walking tour of Antwerp to see the main sights this fashionable city has to offer from the famous Cathedral to the Antwerp Central Station which is regularly high up in the best train stations in the world polls.Back to top
