Keukenhof opens its doors to thousands of visitors every year; still, it doesn’t beat the number of bulbs you will find here, with more than seven million of them creating a spectacular carpet of colour. In the neighbouring country of Belgium, Floralia is the must-see spring event where thousands of bulbs are on show around a beautiful castle. Together they are the perfect addition to this relaxing cruise, plus we include visits to Appeltern Gardens and the National Botanic Garden of Belgium along with free time in beautiful Dutch and Belgian cities.

Day 1: Amsterdam
We travel to Amsterdam, capital of the Netherlands, and enjoy a relaxing evening onboard our ship.
Day 2: Amsterdam
We set off early this morning on an optional excursion to the Aalsmeer Flower Auction, where you can experience the hustle and bustle of the auction floor and admire the stunning flowers traded daily from more than 10 countries (a packed breakfast will be taken because of the early start). Later today you can join another optional excursion which reveals the best views of Amsterdam on a cruise around the city’s canals.
Day 3: Kinderdijk & Appeltern Gardens
This morning we reach Kinderdijk, which is renowned for its 19 beautifully preserved windmills. Our optional excursion visits two of the mills, where we learn about the lifestyle of a miller and the mechanism of a mill, before cruising to Dordrecht. Our included excursion then takes you to Appeltern Gardens, home to 200 model gardens bursting with colour and inspiration. Later today we begin cruising towards Belgium.
Day 4: Antwerp & Floralia
After breakfast our coach departs on an included trip to Floralia, the spring flower show held in the grounds of Château de Grand Bigard. Here you can wander among more than a million bulbs and admire the glasshouse exhibits. The remainder of the day is free to explore Antwerp which is renowned for its skilled diamond cutters and cherished artist Peter Paul Rubens.
Day 5: Antwerp & Meise
Today’s included trip takes you to the National Botanic Garden of Belgium (Meise) and the Plant Palace. This is one of the largest botanic gardens in the world, which also boasts an enormous glasshouse filled with more than 10,000 plant species. Later today we begin cruising to Rotterdam.
Day 6: Rotterdam & Keukenhof Gardens
After breakfast our coach departs on an included trip to Keukenhof Gardens, where over seven million bulbs are on show. You can follow the pathways which surround shimmering lakes, ancient trees and wonderful works of art, browse the pavilions, find your way around the hedge maze and enjoy the entertainment taking place throughout the day. Later this evening begin cruising back to Amsterdam.
Day 7: Amsterdam – UK
We bid farewell to our captain and crew after breakfast and set off on the return journey.
This 4 star ship exudes luxury and style together with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, so you can enjoy an unforgettable cruise experience. Accommodation for 190 passengers is split over three decks which are all accessible by a lift. Main Deck cabins on the lower deck feature two small viewing windows, twin beds which are folded away during the day, allowing more space. Amenities include air-conditioning, en suite shower with wc, radio, satellite TV, safe and hairdryer. There is also a small desk and chair. Middle Deck cabins feature large sliding windows, two separate beds that are folded into sofas during the day, giving you space to relax in your cabin during the day. Amenities include air-conditioning, en suite shower with wc, radio, satellite TV, safe and hairdryer. Again there is a small desk and chair. Panorama Deck cabins which are the highest standard cabin aboard the ms Serenity are located on the upper deck and boast a French Balcony offering excellent river views. The cabins feature twin beds that are folded away during the day and amenities include air-conditioning, en suite shower with wc, radio, satellite TV, safe and hairdryer. As with all the other cabins there is a small desk and chair.
The spacious and attractive lounge is located on the main deck and ensures much cosiness on board. It’s a great place to meet your fellow guests and relax as you watch the scenery pass by. Lido Bar A unique feature aboard the ms Serenity is the lovely Lido bar situated to the rear of the Panorama deck which leads out to an outdoor terrace. Here you can sit and enjoy the fresh air whilst socialising over a drink or two!
The spacious Panorama Restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy your included meals, where you are looked after by the highly professional and friendly service team. Meals are served at a single sitting and the menus include international cuisine along with traditional local dishes, freshly prepared by your onboard chef. Sun Deck On the Sun Deck you can enjoy commanding views of the river whilst you relax in comfortable surroundings. The area is equipped with furniture including comfortable lounge chairs and awnings.
