On the edge of the Arctic Circle, 130 miles off the Scottish mainland lie the Shetland Isles. An archipelago of 100 islands with 5000 years of history and Viking influenced culture. With convenient overnight ferries from Aberdeen and two nights in Lerwick, on Shetland, we soak up the atmosphere of island life with an experienced guide. There is a mild climate and up to 19 hours daylight in which to experience the enchanting, rugged beauty, and serene seclusion.

Itinerary
Your Excursions
• Overnight stay in the Perthshire area.• Overnight sailing from Aberdeen to Lerwick. On arrival you will be closer to the Arctic Circle than Manchester!
• Guided tour of the Northern Isles Yell & Unst - including beautiful beaches, Old Haa Museum, Muckle Flugga and Skidbladner, a replica Viking long ship. Light lunch included. We stay two
nights at the Shetland hotel.
• Guided coastal tour of the South and West Mainland. Visiting Viking Jarlshof archaeological site, Europe’s largest spanning 5000 years and Crofthouse Museum with time to visit Scalloway and view the famous Shetland ponies.
• To Voe, Brae and the “Drongs” – a spectacular series of sea stacks. Tour of Shetland Jewellery Nordic workshop and free time in Lerwick before taking the overnight ferry to Aberdeen.
• Following the coast road, we head for Dundee with entry to the V&A Museum before our final overnight in Perthshire.
