Your New Year in Shropshire
Tuesday: Off we go on our New Year getaway breaking the journey in Bakewell. This compact Peak District town offers tradition and a rich heritage, famous for its delicious pudding which is definitely worth a taste! Arriving at our stylish hotel, where tea, coffee and treats await our arrival. Settle in before dinner is served in the restaurant with entertainment provided by close hand magicians.New Year’s Eve: We head to Shrewsbury, one of England’s finest Tudor towns. Free time for shopping or sightseeing. Back at the hotel, time to relax before a drinks reception with your fellow guests and New Year’s Eve Dinner. Then get ready to party with the DJ and cabaret singer who will have you dancing well into 2026!
New Year’s Day: No need to rush up as brunch is served until late morning. Then we step back in time with a visit to Blists Hill Victorian Town where you can buy old favourites at the sweet shop, explore period cottages and even dress up in a Victorian costume. Tonight’s farewell dinner is followed by fun with the resident quiz master.
Friday: We head home via the Trentham Shopping Village, browse the unique high street of timber lodges, gift shops, cafés, fine dining restaurants and quirky stores.
