Tuesday: We head west and spend time in the quirky and charismatic market town of Hebden Bridge, home to windy streets and an attractive pedestrianised square surrounded by eateries and independent shops, a popular filming location and was featured in TV’s “Happy Valley”. At the hotel, time to settle in with festive refreshments before a pre-dinner drinks reception. Live entertainment finishes off your first evening away.

New Year’s Eve: After breakfast, we make our way to the ancient city of Chester, with its bewitching beauty and unique atmosphere. Here we include a short sightseeing cruise on the River Dee then perhaps explore the medieval walls, super shops, or soak up the buzz of New Year’s Eve in one of the town’s bustling bars or cafés? Back at the hotel don your party best for tonight’s New Year’s Eve dinner with a themed night of music and dancing into the early hours of 2026.

New Year’s Day: After a leisurely breakfast we’re off to blow the cobwebs away in Liverpool, with its host of attractions including the Albert Dock, two cathedrals, museums and tempting shops. Back at the hotel soup and sandwiches are served, and then you can partake in one of the traditional board games on offer. A farewell candlelit dinner is followed by bingo and a quiz.

Friday: Enjoy breakfast before we return home, calling at Bridgemere, one of Britain’s largest garden centres, offering an abundance of inspiration for your garden, home and even your wardrobe!
