Here you’ll find many reminders of the town’s Victorian heyday – including the pier, the Winter Gardens, the wonderful bandstand, and the colourful Carpet Gardens. With its three miles of splendid promenades, friendly cafes and sheltered seating areas, Eastbourne is perfect for a relaxing holiday any time of the year.

Full day: Rye & Hastings
We start the day with a visit to the vibrant market town of Rye, with quaint cobbled streets and historic half-timbered buildings. Once surrounded by sea, it played an important role in the defence of the south coast of England. In the afternoon we travel along the coast to Hastings, overlooked by William the Conqueror’s castle and famous as the location for the popular TV series Foyle’s War.
Full day: Brighton & Pretty Alfriston
We head west to the cosmopolitan city of Brighton. Here there is time to enjoy its great diversity of attractions from the Royal Pavilion and Palace Pier to the quirky shops of the Lanes. Our return will take us via the lovely South Downs countryside to the picturesque village of Alfriston where you can view the famous Beachy Head. To the affluent town of Royal Tunbridge Wells set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
