Your Excursions
Bowness-on-Windermere & Lake Cruise
We head to Bowness, with its quaint alleyways and lively lakeside quays. Following free time we take a relaxing cruise on Lake Windermere to admire the fells and ancient woodlands, accompanied by interesting commentary.
Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway and Muncaster Castle
Boarding at Ravenglass we take the quirky narrow-gauge railway and drink in the views along the seven-mile trip before arriving at the foot of Scarfell Pike, England’s highest mountain. Next, we visit Muncaster Castle, with time to explore the castle, gardens, and hawk and owl centre.
Cartmel & Holker Hall
First stop is Cartmel, an ancient village famous for its 12th century abbey and delicious sticky toffee pudding! We continue to Holker Hall, the finest house in South Lakeland, where you can tour the house without ropes or barriers and explore the magnificent gardens.
