Ypres Battlefields & 'Journey's End' Live
4 Days Away
Modern Ypres is a beautifully sleepy town with a warm welcome and some mesmerising sights. A hundred years ago however, the town was the scene of one the biggest battles in the First World War and the town still bears the scars today. We explore the museums and witness the ceremonies dedicated to those momentous years in this captivating holiday away. We also go to see a live production of the powerfully moving and totally gripping play, Journey’s End. Set in the trenches towards the end of the First World War, the play follows the experiences of a company’s officers and the trials of life, death and warfare.
