Whitby Regatta

Whitby Regatta

What started as a modest competition between fishermen over 170 years ago, the Whitby Regatta has grown to become one of the oldest events of its kind in the UK. Some of the rowing clubs that took park in the original competitions still compete in the modern Regatta, including the Whitby Fisherman’s Amateur Rowing Club.

The weekend of entertainment brings Whitby to life as locals and visitors alike crowd around the charming harbour to watch the exciting rowing team competitions and yacht races. While the boat races along the North Yorkshire coast are the main event, vintage car rallies also take place, as well as motorcycle displays on Whitby’s beach. There are also plenty of funfair rides to enjoy, or why not treat yourself to some traditional fish and chips by the sea?

This annual tradition in its picturesque setting of one of the UK’s most popular seaside towns is the perfect summer’s day out for all ages!

Scarborough

Scarborough

Scarborough coach trips are one of the best ways to enjoy one of Yorkshire’s premier seaside resorts, with its colourful seafront, bustling promenade, sandy beaches and beautiful gardens. This is a fantastic destination for a coach break, at any time of the year.

Scarborough offers a fantastic range of attractions and activities for all ages on a coach holiday. Explore Scarborough Castle, a 12th-century Roman ruin, dominating the resort headland. Discover the secrets of the underwater world at the Sea Life Centre, relax at the beautifully oriental-themed Peasholm offering a beautiful system of streams and waterfalls, mini bridges and mystical gardens park, or take a trip on one of the county’s oldest miniature seaside railways.

The Scarborough seafront is split into two lovely beach bays, on the north and south, linked with Scarborough's historic Victorian architecture. The South Bay is a great place to check out on a coach tour with its bustling seaside entertainment, whilst the quieter North Bay is ideal for taking a relaxing stroll.
