ItineraryCotswolds Villages: Bourton-on-the-Water & Stow-on-the-Wold
From a morning pickup in your local area, we travel to our first village of the day, Bourton-on-the-Water. Well-known for its honey-coloured cottages and low, elegant 18th-century bridges crossing over pretty riverbanks. There are a range of quaint tea rooms and tempting cafés to enjoy. Our next stop is the beautiful market town of Stow-on-the-Wold, renowned for its traditional stone buildings and wonderful collection of artisan boutiques.
Stratford-upon-Avon (full day)
After breakfast, we check out of our hotel and make our way to the beautiful town of Stratford-upon-Avon, forever associated with William Shakespeare. Fans of The Bard can visit the house in which he was born, and there’s a chance to wander the riverside gardens or discover the town’s theatres including the Swan Theatre, home of the Royal Shakespeare Company. We rejoin the coach in the afternoon and continue our journey home.
