The Leeds–Liverpool canal winds its way through the town and the humpback bridges are perfect to spot the colourful canal boats scooting along, before retiring to a lovely tearoom for a well-deserved cuppa.

With 22 miles of beautiful golden sandy beaches and the country’s oldest iron pier, the coastline attracts an array of wildlife.
