Oban
ObanKnown as the “Gateway to the Isles”, Oban on the North West Coast of Scotland has been a popular visitor destination since Victorian times, due to its sweeping bay, pretty harbour, and amazing scenic views.
Oban and neighbouring Lorn have a long and interesting history which began in the Dark Ages with kings and chiefs building castles and forts along the coast. In 500AD a powerful Irish Lord named Loairn established his Kingdom just outside Oban at Dunollie and gave his name to the district.
Fort William
Fort WilliamSet in a beautiful location at the foot of Ben Nevis, Britain’s largest mountain, and overlooking the tranquil Loch Linnhe, the bustling resort of Fort William is the perfect place to visit on a coach trip to enjoy Scotland’s stunning scenery.
Embrace the wonderful fresh air as you discover the region’s mountains, coastline, lochs and glens. One of the largest towns south of Inverness, Fort William offers a host of possibilities for the coach break visitor.

Loch LomondGretna Green
Gretna GreenGretna Green lies on the Scottish side of the border between Scotland and England and is well known as the destination for runaway couples from the 18th century. Following the 1754 Marriage Act, which prevented anyone under the age of 21 from getting married in England and Wales without parental consent, elopers came to be married ‘over the anvil’ in Gretna Green’s Blacksmiths Shop, the first stop across the border in Scotland.
It remains a popular place to get married due to its history, with around 5,000 couples still tying the knot here every year! During our visit, discover the famous Blacksmiths Shop (don’t forget to touch the anvil for good luck in love!) and find out more at the History of Gretna Green and Anvil Weddings. You can also browse the range of Scottish gifts at the lovely shops and head to the Luxury Scottish Foodhall or the Blacksmiths Foodcourt to enjoy a taste of Scotland.
