Itinerary

Itinerary

30th December

From a morning pick up in your local area we travel by coach to catch the ferry to the Isle of Wight and travel onwards to our hotel.

New Year’s Eve – Island Highlights Tour

Spend the last day of 2024 on our Island Highlights tour, the perfect way to take in this unique island’s many famous sights. First up is Ryde, often referred to as the ’Gateway to the Island’. The pretty esplanade is home to a wonderful selection of boutiques, museums and galleries, and there’s also a charming marina to explore. We then head to Cowes – a quaint Georgian town boasting a variety of fascinating museums – before we travel to the historic port town of Yarmouth which contains some of the oldest architecture on the island, including a 16th-century castle. Afterwards, we make for Alum Bay, where we can admire the multi-coloured cliffs and famous chalky outcrop The Needles. We conclude our tour in Ventnor, a pretty resort built on a series of terraces.

New Year’s Day – Newport

We kick off the brand-new year with an excursion to Newport, a town considered by many to be the island’s capital. Explore the town at your own pace; from the historic quayside to the lovely squares surrounded by elegant Georgian and Victorian architecture, there are plenty of interesting sights to behold.

2nd January

After breakfast, we check out of our hotel and head for home.
