Westminster Abbey

Westminster Abbey

A Royal church, offering daily services, Westminster Abbey is a magnificent building in the heart of London with over a thousand years of history.

The Abbey stands just west of the Houses of Parliament in the Greater London Borough of Westminster. It has been the coronation church since the crowning of William the Conqueror in 1066 and has been the setting for many other royal occasions, including sixteen royal weddings.

The building itself is considered an architectural masterpiece. The Early English Gothic design of Henry III’s reign dominates, giving the whole church the appearance of having been built at one time.
