The Liverpool Musical History TourThis spectacular tour will take you back through the gems of Liverpool’s past, journeying through the film,TV and musical achievements associated with this cultural city.
Step behind the scenes as you visit film and TV locations from well-known shows including Foyle’s War, Harry Potter, Peaky Blinders, Bread and, of course, Cilla.
You’ll have the opportunity to see childhood homes and birthplaces of much-loved celebrities such as John Lennon, Gerry Marsden and Jean Alexander (Hilda Ogden) to name a few. You’ll also be treated to live music provided by the fantastically talented step-on guide, along with a 60s soundtrack to help transport you back through the ages.
Starting at Pier Head, you can explore the City’s Maritime and commercial history, before heading into the City centre, where a short stop will be made at the magnificent Anglican Cathedral so make sure you take your camera!
After this, a sneak-peak into suburban Liverpool before heading off to uncover the lives of Liverpool’s most influential and treasured bands – the Beatles. With visits to Penny Lane, Strawberry Field, as well as the homes, schools and birthplaces of the band members, you will be treated to a full insight into the Beatles’ history, rooted in their hometown of Liverpool.
You will then be treated to a Mersey cruise before having the chance to visit the world-famous Cavern Club, as well as the statue of local legend Cilla Black.
