York

York

Book your next trip to York, one of Europe's most popular historic cities, renowned for its Roman, Viking and Medieval heritage with lots of attractions for visitors to enjoy. The streets are full of historic buildings, traditional shops and cafés, and a number of museums and art galleries.

The city’s historic sites are impressive, contained within the city walls which date back to Roman times and are themselves an integral part of York’s unique character.

Lincoln

Lincoln

Steeped in history, the cathedral city of Lincoln offers a range of shopping facilities on Steep Hill, local specialities include Chine, Haslet and of course the famous Lincolnshire Sausage, and a stunning castle which houses one of the four surviving copies of the Magna Carta.

A city like no other, Lincoln is situated in a gap of Lincoln Cliff and a visit here would not be complete without a trip to the simply stunning cathedral. This fine example of Gothic architecture was once the tallest in the world (until its spire fell) and is filled with intricate detail. Enjoy the beautiful cloisters, magnificent libraries and the memorial statue of Lord Alfred Tennyson, bearing the words of his poem ‘Flower in the Crannied Wall’ at this historic delight.
