Sirmione
SirmioneEdging, tight-rope style, along a narrow peninsula that thrusts into the southern section of Lake Garda, the fortified town of Sirmione stuns with its come-hither coastline, lovely thermal baths and historic fortress.
Don’t miss the chance to discover the awe-inspiring views from the 13th-century Scaligero Castle, with its impossibly turquoise moat, and Grotte di Catullo, the curious ruins of a Roman Villa shrouded within a huge olive grove.
All cultured out? Why not soak up the Italian sunshine on one of the beautiful beaches, or settle down with an Aperol in a quaint piazza? Both are prime people-watching real estate!Lake Garda Carousel
Venice
VeniceThe stunning city of Venice harbours a wealth of artistic and architectural wonders, hardly changing for 600 years. Although now very much a popular place for tourists, it still retains its romantic charm and appeal.
Lake Garda
Lake GardaColourful boats bobbing on blue shimmering waters, dreamy villages, ancient castles, fragrant vineyards and olive groves – that’s Lake Garda in a pretty, little nutshell.
Located half way between Brescia and Verona, and Venice and Milan, the largest freshwater lake in Italy was originally formed by glaciers. Situated on the eastern shore is lovely Malcesine, with its striking Scaligero Castle. From here you can catch the boat to many of the lake resorts including Riva and Limone.
The capital of the lake is vibrant Garda Town, situated in a huge sheltered bay with a backdrop of dramatic hills and mountains. Dine under the trees at one of the many delightful lakeside restaurants, or browse the stylish shops.
