Then we visit the National Memorial Arboretum where we hear the fascinating stories behind the memorials, with the pre-recorded commentary on the included Arboretum land train tour.

Itinerary

Day 1

From a morning pickup in your local area, we travel by coach to the Black Country Living Museum. Find out about how this region made a big impact on the world and enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes of the Black Country. Later, the coach takes us to our hotel where we check in and enjoy an evening meal.

Day 2

After breakfast, we check out of the hotel and make our way to the National Memorial Arboretum, an evolving woodland landscape with a large collection of flora, fauna and wildlife and a growing tribute to those who have served our country. We enjoy a tour on the Arboretum’s land train, complete with commentary – the perfect opportunity to discover more. Later, we rejoin the coach for our journey home.

An award-winning open-air museum, situated in the heart of the Black Country. The museum is a large-scale outdoor reconstruction of a historical industrial town spanning a massive 26 acres. Visitors have the chance to learn and discover more about steam power, human ingenuity and industry. 

The open-air museum consists of various old-fashioned shops and corner-stores recreated from the period which you can explore, and you’ll find a massive collection of over 80,000 replicas and artefacts inside. From the smallest nail to cars, trolley busses, canal boats and more!

National Memorial Arboretum

National Memorial Arboretum

Britain’s largest all-year round place of remembrance, the National Memorial Arboretum site consists of 150-acres, on the edge of the National Forest in Staffordshire. 

Visitors can discover nearly 400 memorials within the grounds, take guided tours, land train tours, and listen to inspiring talks. There is something for visitors of all ages to enjoy, from outdoor trails, a children’s play area and seasonal activities.
