Market Day in La Closaz
Sitting near the border of Switzerland this mountain town commands grand views over the iconic images of traditional Alpine lifestyle that make up the surrounding countryside. We visit on market day providing the opportunity to browse the traditional trinkets, snacks and treats specific to the region.
Dubbed ‘The Cleanest Lake in Europe’, the mountain water that makes up this lake is undeniably alluring, so make sure to bring a towel! Alternatively, those who want to stay dry can soak up the view and the sun’s rays on the grassy banks that line the edge of the lake. So, with plenty to do on and off the water, you’re sure to enjoy your time spent at Lake Annecy.
Quite literally on the border of France, Italy and Switzerland you can expect to hear a variety of accents as you explore this high altitude town. Popular for its winter sports and home to the first ever winter Olympics, Chamonix is not short on spectacular views. In fact, residing on the north side of Mont Blanc, it is anything but short.
