Blakemere Village

Blakemere Village

Blakemere Village is a family-run attraction set in the heart of Cheshire. You’ll find a unique collection of independent shops gathered around the quaint courtyard, a popular craft workshop and plenty of tempting food and drink outlets. There is also a wide range of activities on offer, from segways to the award-winning Birds of Prey experience plus woodland trails and an outdoor adventure playpark.

Anderton Boat Lift

Anderton Boat Lift

Cheshire’s Anderton Boat Lift is renowned as one of the ‘Seven Wonders of the Waterways’ and is an incredible piece of engineering. The magnificent Victorian structure still fulfils its original purpose, lifting boats and barges 50 feet from the River Weaver to the Trent and Mersey Canal high above.

Step aboard the Edwin Clark, named after the engineer who designed and constructed the impressive machinery, and enjoy this unique experience. The lower level houses an insightful exhibition where you can discover the story of the lift, the people of the waterways that used it and the people who brought it back to life.
