Day 1Fly into Bodrum and transfer by coach to the quayside. Meet the welcoming crew of your vessel and your fellow passengers as you embark, and enjoy a first on-board dinner of traditional Turkish mezes, followed by a fish or meat dish and dessert. Afterwards you'll be free to step ashore to take in some of Bodrum’s famously lively nightlife, as your gulet stays moored in the port.
Day 2Awaken in your cabin – a cosy, simply furnished place – and make your way out on deck for your first delicious breakfast on board - a mix of Turkish and traditional continental fare with special dishes prepared each morning by the chef. An informal but important pre-sailing briefing will be given by the captain and on-board guide, after which, formalities completed, your vessel will make her way out of the harbour into the blue Gokova Gulf, away from Bodrum’s whitewashed buildings, and head gently towards your first anchorage, in idyllic Alakisla Inlet. Today, as every day, there will be time to enjoy the warm sunshine and an opportunity for a swim or snorkel, and a light lunch will be served with the ship at anchor. After a chance to step ashore to wander through the ruins of a Byzantine village, and to enjoy afternoon tea and cake aboard, your ship will make her way beneath the early evening sun to the picturesque fishing village of Cokertme. Here, dinner will be served, and you'll be able to head ashore, or simply enjoy a convivial hour or two under the stars on board your gulet, enjoying the simple pleasures of live aboard the boat.
Day 3Another idyllic day at sea includes calls at sparkling Tuzla Bay and tiny English Harbour, so called for the refuge it provided to a Royal Navy warship during World War Two. You'll have time for swimming and snorkelling in the pine-fringed blue waters, here, before dinner is served at anchor in this glorious setting.
Day 4Enjoy an early morning dip before a breakfast cruise across the Gokova Gulf to the beautiful fishing port of Karacasogut, in its forested setting. While your crew replenishes the gulet’s supplies, you can step ashore to explore, or take an optional excursion to the little town of Dalyan, famed for nearby Iztuzu Beach, a refuge for the protected Caretta Caretta sea turtles, which lay their eggs in its soft sand. However you spend your day, you’ll return to Karacasogut and dinner aboard this evening.
Day 5A morning passage back west brings you to Sedir Island, where the ancient ruins of Greco-Roman Cedrai offer a window on the distant past. Legend has it that Mark Anthony wooed Cleopatra on the island, importing the beach sand from North Africa. The air of romance continues on this afternoon's call in exquisite Ballisu Cove, and this evening's overnight mooring in beautiful Longoz, where you can enjoy a stroll through the pine-scented forests before dinner is served on board.
Day 6Your idyllic voyage continues, today, with a leisurely passage via Kargili Bay to beautiful Orak Island. Here, the crystal-clear waters teem with aquatic life, making them a paradise for snorkellers. Step ashore for a stroll around the island, before spending the evening and night under the stars in this stunning location.
Day 7Your last morning on board is spent cruising towards Pabuc Burnu, a maquis-covered headland famed for its clear, calm waters, from which the remains of a Sixth Century BC shipwreck were recovered only a few years ago. Swim in the turquoise sea, enjoy a last lunch and then the final cruise back towards Bodrum. Tea will be served in beautiful Haremten Bay, before your gulet returns to port. A last dinner will be served, after which you can relax with your newfound friends on board the vessel, or enjoy another taste of Bodrum by night – joining the enthusiastic party-goers in this lively holiday town.
Day 8Bid farewell to your crew and fellow passengers, and return to the airport to check in for your flight home, at the end of a wonderful cruise. Back to top
Passports and visasBritish Citizens require a visa for entry into Turkey. We recommend obtaining an e-Visa online prior to travel to avoid queues upon arrival in Turkey. The cost is 20 US dollars. Combining hotel transfersWe sometimes need to combine transfers to and from your hotel. We always try to keep any wait to a minimum, but you may be asked to wait at the airport for up to an hour, while other incoming flights arrive, before the transfer to your hotel. Similarly, we may need to transfer you back to the airport up to three hours before your flight home departs.
