Spend 12 days relaxing aboard Magellan during this high-summer cruise as you journey south to warmer climes. Fascinating calls at La Coruña, Lisbon and Casablanca make this a voyage to remember. Join Magellan at Liverpool, and sail across the Irish Sea to historic Belfast, before turning south. Enjoy fascinating calls at Spanish Armada port city La Coruña and Portuguese Leixões, for wine-producing Porto, as you sail to Casablanca, from where you may choose to visit exotic Marrakech on an optional tour. Return to Liverpool, via the vibrant Portuguese capital of Lisbon for a final call.

Day 1

Depart Liverpool, UK
Depart: 1900hrs Board Magellan in Liverpool today, and settle in to your cabin as she prepares to set sail.

Day 2

Belfast, UK
Arrive: 0700hrs Depart: 1400hrs Early this morning, Magellan arrives in historic Belfast. Explore the city centre, visit the new Titanic Quarter developments that pay homage to the ill-fated vessel, or join an optional excursion to the vast stone staircase of the Giant’s Causeway on the Antrim Coast beyond.

Spend today relaxing on board.

Day 4

La Coruña, Spain
Arrive: 1200hrs Depart: 1900hrs Magellan's first call in mainland Europe is the historic Spanish port of La Coruña. Step ashore to explore the atmospheric medieval quarter, stroll the extensive seafront promenade, or perhaps take a shore excursion to Santiago de Compostela.

Day 5

Leixões, Portugal
Arrive: 1000hrs Depart: 1800hrs The Portuguese port of Leixões offers the opportunity to join an optional excursion to historic Oporto. Famed the world over for its Port Wine, "Porto" is perched on the granite cliffs above the River Douro, the two banks linked by some vertigo-inducing bridges. Head into the Ribeira district to visit one of the wine lodges for which the city is world-renowned.

At sea
Spend a second day relaxing on board as Magellan cruises across to North Africa.

Day 7

Casablanca, Morocco
Arrive: 0700hrs Depart: 2400hrs This morning Magellan docks in Casablanca, renowned for its connections with the celebrated movie, but today a world away from Humphrey Bogart’s sleepy town. Startlingly modern, but retaining a sense of the past in its ancient medina, the city offers wonderful beaches, some designer shopping and the fascination of the gigantic Hassan II Mosque. Today may also offer up the chance to join an unforgettable shore excursion to Marrakech to explore the tiny stores, alleys and hidden courtyards of the souks, and its vast, bustling square, the Djemaa El Fna.

At sea
Relax on board as Magellan cruises to Portugal.

Day 9

Lisbon, Portugal
Arrive: 0700hrs Depart: 1600hrs The Portuguese capital Lisbon is Magellan's final port. Stroll the narrow streets of the Alfama district, and climb aboard one of the city's famous trams. See the extraordinary Manueline architecture of the Belem quarter, and the striking modern buildings of the Baixa.

Days 10-11

At sea
Spend the last two days of your cruise relaxing and enjoying Magellan's excellent facilities.

Day 12

Arrive Liverpool, UK
Arrive: 0800hrs Bid farewell to Magellan and all your fellow travellers, today, as you disembark at the end of your cruise. Back to top

British Citizens will need a full, 10-year passport to travel on this cruise.
