Day 1Depart Belfast, UK
Depart: 1400hrs Board Magellan in Belfast today, and settle in to your cabin as she prepares to set sail.
Day 2At sea
Spend today relaxing on board.
Day 3La Coruña, Spain
Arrive: 1200hrs Depart: 1900hrs Magellan's first call in mainland Europe is the historic Spanish port of La Coruña. Step ashore to explore the atmospheric medieval quarter, stroll the extensive seafront promenade, or perhaps take a shore excursion to Santiago de Compostela.
Day 4Leixões, Portugal
Arrive: 1000hrs Depart: 1800hrs The Portuguese port of Leixões offers the opportunity to join an optional excursion to historic Oporto. Famed the world over for its Port Wine, "Porto" is perched on the granite cliffs above the River Douro, the two banks linked by some vertigo-inducing bridges. Head into the Ribeira district to visit one of the wine lodges for which the city is world-renowned.
Day 5At sea
Spend a second day relaxing on board as Magellan cruises across to North Africa.
Day 6Casablanca, Morocco
Arrive: 0700hrs Depart: 2400hrs This morning Magellan docks in Casablanca, renowned for its connections with the celebrated movie, but today a world away from Humphrey Bogart’s sleepy town. Startlingly modern, but retaining a sense of the past in its ancient medina, the city offers wonderful beaches, some designer shopping and the fascination of the gigantic Hassan II Mosque. Today may also offer up the chance to join an unforgettable shore excursion to Marrakech to explore the tiny stores, alleys and hidden courtyards of the souks, and its vast, bustling square, the Djemaa El Fna.
Day 7At sea
Relax on board as Magellan cruises to Portugal.
Day 8Lisbon, Portugal
Arrive: 0700hrs Depart: 1600hrs The Portuguese capital Lisbon is Magellan's final port. Stroll the narrow streets of the Alfama district, and climb aboard one of the city's famous trams. See the extraordinary Manueline architecture of the Belem quarter, and the striking modern buildings of the Baixa.
Days 9-10At sea
Spend the last two days of your cruise relaxing and enjoying Magellan's excellent facilities.
Day 11Liverpool, UK
Arrive: 0800hrs Depart: 1900hrs This morning Magellan arrives in Liverpool. Discover the great city's seafaring heritage, soak up some culture at the Walker Art Gallery, or perhaps learn how the Fab Four found fame at The Beatles Story.
Day 12Arrive Belfast, UK
Arrive: 0700hrs Bid farewell to Magellan and all your fellow travellers, today, as you disembark at the end of your cruise. Back to top
