Day OneFly to Seville or Malaga, meet your Tour Manager and transfer to the hotel. Waste no time in exploring the surroundings and enjoying your first evening in Seville, a city that, true to its Andalusian traditions, bustles into the evening, with its famous tapas bars and a host of restaurants and cafes from which to choose.
Day TwoEnjoy this morning's fascinating guided tour of a city that was the setting for Bizet's Carmen and Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro, where every street is lined with ripening orange trees, and which boasts a host of world-class sights and atmospheric old quarters. Don't miss the vast, magnificent Gothic Cathedral, the strikingly spectacular Metropol Parasol wooden structure, and the immense Plaza de Toros, Spain's oldest bullring. Wander the streets of the Moorish Alcazar and the adjacent Jewish Quarter, perhaps take in Plaza de Espana, the city's ornate centrepiece, or stroll the promenade alongside the River Guadalquivir.
In addition to the richly decorated streets, and a host of traditional crib scenes, dotted around the city - featuring the quirky and bizarre cagner gnome as well as the Holy Family - there are several wonderful Christmas markets. These include the traditional artisan market in front of the Town Hall, another beneath the monumental Metropol Parasol and a third at the modern Nervion Plaza.
Day ThreeSpend another day at leisure in Seville, soaking up the delights of the Christmas markets, or join an optional excursion to the great city of Cordoba. See its breath taking Mezquita, the huge Mosque into which the Christian cathedral has been incorporated, and its own colourful Christmas market held on historic Plaza Tendillas.
Return to Seville for a last evening.
