Day 1Depart Liverpool, UK
Depart: 1900hrs Board Magellan in Liverpool, today, settle in to your cabin and relax as your cruise begins.
Day 2Belfast, UK
Arrive: 0700hrs Depart: 1700hrs Early this morning, Magellan arrives in historic Belfast. Explore the city centre, visit the new Titanic Quarter developments that pay homage to the ill-fated vessel, or join an optional excursion to the vast stone staircase of the Giant’s Causeway on the Antrim Coast beyond.
Day 3Portree, Isle of Skye
Arrive: 0800hrs Depart: 1600hrs The tiny harbour of Portree is set on the sheltered eastern coast of the mystic Isle of Skye. It’s your gateway to a rugged island landscape of windswept moors that sweep upward into the brooding Cuillin Hills and a coast teeming with wildlife. You may also have the chance to visit historic Dunvegan Castle, the world’s longest continuously inhabited fortress, on a shore excursion this afternoon.
Day 4Lerwick, Shetland Isles
Arrive: 0900hrs Depart: 1700hrs Magellan's next port is the Shetland capital, Lerwick. This rugged, enchanting town is your gateway to a land of ancient legend, traditional crafts and an incredible abundance of bird-life. Wander the town, or join an excursion to the 3,000-year-old archaeological site at Jarlshof to discover its Bronze and Iron Age remains.
Day 5Tórshavn, Faroes
Arrive: 0900hrs Depart: 1630hrs Tiny, Toytown-like Tórshavn is the capital of the Faroe Islands. Explore its confusion of lanes, narrow passages and black-tarred houses with green turf on the roofs, or join an excursion, perhaps to cross the famous Bridge across the Atlantic connecting the main island of Streymoy with the spectacular scenery and ancient wooden churches of smaller Eysturoy.
Day 6Kirkwall, UK
Arrive: 0900hrs Depart: 1900hrs Today Magellan arrives in Kirkwall, Orkney's historic capital. Wander the streets and marvel at magnificent St Magnus Cathedral, or join an excursion to fabled Scapa Flow, Churchill's famous Barriers or the Italian Chapel.
Day 7At sea
Spend today relaxing as Magellan cruises back to Liverpool.
Day 8Arrive Liverpool, UK
Arrive: 0800hrs Say goodbye to Magellan, her crew and your fellow passengers as she arrives in Liverpool, today, and you disembark at the end of a wonderful cruise. Back to top
