Day TwoThe Dutch maritime city Rotterdam has much to offer. World-class museums, the stunning architecture of the Erasmus Bridge and the remarkable Markthal food market. Explore the lovingly preserved Old Harbour and stroll past nearby Delfshaven’s step-gabled houses and ancient wharves.
Day ThreeAfter a scenic morning cruise along the River Seine, Marco Polo will arrive in Rouen. See the Place du Vieux-Marche, site of Saint Joan's martyrdom, the famous one-handed mechanical clock and the chalets and stalls of the Christmas Market that shelter beneath the city's stunning Gothic cathedral.
Day FourToday you'll reach Honfleur, set at the mouth of the River Seine. This favourite retreat of the French Impressionists, and its harbour surrounded by gabled houses, are an unforgettable sight at Christmastime as an elegant little Christmas Market springs up around the marina of the Quai Sainte-Catherine.
