Day 1

Depart from Newcastle
Depart: 2000hrs Board Magellan in Newcastle, today, settle in to your cabin and relax as your cruise begins.

Day 2

Dundee, Scotland
Arrive: 0530hrs Depart: 1730hrs Today Magellan calls at the historic Tayside port-city of Dundee, where some Scottish passengers will come aboard. Explore this engaging city, home to Captain Scott’s Royal Research Ship Discovery, a beautifully restored example of the days when maritime adventures were less luxurious affairs.

Spend today relaxing on board.

Day 4

Bergen, Norway
Arrive: 0700hrs Depart: 1600hrs Bergen is one of the most beautifully located cities in the world. This ancient fishing and trading port, spectacularly set amid hills and fjords, is also one of Northern Europe’s most enjoyable destinations. Step ashore to explore the harbour and fish market, discover Bryggen’s historic wooden warehouses or ride the funicular to the top of ‘Mount’ Floyen.

Day 5

Geiranger, Norway
Arrive: 0800hrs Depart: 1600hrs Geirangerfjord is one of the smallest but most beautiful fjords, its twists and turns marked by crashing waterfalls and ancient and beguiling villages. Disembark at Geiranger to enjoy an unforgettable overland excursion through the glorious scenery of the fjord and its surroundings, or to visit the fascinating Norsk Fjordsenter, which chronicles life in this beautiful place.

Day 6

Flam, Norway
Arrive: 0900hrs Depart: 2000hrs The remote village of Flam welcomes Magellan today, and you’ll have the opportunity to board the world-famous Flamsbana Mountain Railway for the journey to Myrdal. Later this afternoon, the ship navigates her way into stunning Naeroyfjord where some of fjordland’s prettiest scenery awaits.

Spend today relaxing on board.

Day 8

Arrive back at Newcastle
Arrive: 0600hrs Say goodbye to Magellan, her crew and your fellow passengers as she arrives in Newcastle, today, and you disembark at the end of a wonderful cruise. Back to top
