Day OneMake your way to Tilbury for embarkation and this afternoon's sailing aboard Columbus.
Day TwoToday is spent at sea, getting to know the ship, the crew and your fellow passengers.
Day ThreeColumbus makes her way into Hardangerfjord, cruising to Eidfjord. Here you can go ashore to enjoy an optional excursion through the beautiful surrounding countryside, perhaps taking in the famous Voringfossen waterfalls.
Day FourExquisite Geirangerfjord is one of the smaller fjords, but is undeniably among the most beautiful. Today Columbus cruises its twists and turns through a landscape marked by crashing waterfalls and ancient villages like Hellesylt and Geiranger. Disembark in Geiranger to take in the beauty of it all, or to enjoy an optional excursion.
Day FiveToday Columbus calls at Olden on Nordfjord. This is the stopping off point for a trip through the stunningly beautiful surrounding countryside to the famous Briksdal Glacier. The glacier is part of the vast icy mass of the Jostedalsbreen ice-pack, which blankets the landscape above the eastern reaches of the fjord.
Day SixThis morning Columbus heads along the Byfjord past the island of Askoy and docks in Bergen. This ancient Hanseatic city of cobbled streets and medieval houses is the birthplace of composer Edvard Grieg. Visit the vibrant harbour and fish market, stroll past the wooden warehouses of Bryggen and take the Floibanen funicular to the summit of Mount Floyen.
Day SevenToday is spent at sea, no doubt reliving the memories of the past few days as Columbus cruises home.
Day EightReturn to Tilbury this morning at the end of a wonderful summer cruise to the fjords. Back to top
